This website was produced during my second year of Infographics. The assignment was to reproduce a page from an existing website, replacing the subject with my favourite object. Here, I chose to adapt the content of the homepage of l’Atelier de Géraldine to talk about my trumpet.
I started by looking at the site’s structure and writing down the different elements I’d need, whether that was the graphic style (colours and fonts) or parts of the code.
I then built the models, created the images and illustrations, and wrote the text, all related to my favourite object, which is my trumpet.
Finally, I developed my website to look as much like the original as possible, making sure to follow accessibility guidelines and all the concepts covered in class.
They were mainly due to the length of the page and the complexity of the original code. There were also some things I still hadn’t learnt in class, so I had to get by with what I knew and the documentation. Even so, I’m very pleased with my work and with how I adapted all the content.
